# Bathtubs

Seamless acrylic bathtubs with two backrests, freestanding or back-to-wall.

The Torino collection offers the same oval silhouette in two installations. Torino (168 × 80 cm) is a freestanding bathtub to place in the middle of the room. Torino Muro (170 × 80 cm) has a flat back that sits against the wall, for the look of a freestanding tub in a smaller space and with a wall-mounted tap. Both have two backrests, a central waste and an overflow included.

The first choice is the type of installation: freestanding in the room, or back-to-wall. The Torino collection offers the same oval silhouette in both versions, in seamless sanitary acrylic, with two backrests and a central waste and overflow included.

### Freestanding or back-to-wall?

- [Torino](https://www.nuevabano.com/en/collections/bathtubs/torino/) is a freestanding oval bathtub, 168 × 80 × 58 cm. It can be placed in the middle of the room, in front of a window or along a wall, and it is visible from every side. It needs space around it for cleaning and for walking past.
- [Torino Muro](https://www.nuevabano.com/en/collections/bathtubs/torino-muro/), 170 × 80 × 57 cm, has a flat back that sits against the wall. It keeps the look of a freestanding tub but takes less room, and it is easier to install in a renovation.

### Plan the tap early

The tap determines the plumbing work, so it should be chosen before the floor and walls are finished.

- With Torino, use a floor-standing bath mixer next to the tub, with pipes coming through the floor, or a wall-mounted tap if the tub stands close to a wall.
- With Torino Muro, use a standard wall-mounted tap above the tub.

Taps are not included, so you can choose the model and the finish freely.

### Waste and access

Both bathtubs have a central waste with an overflow, included. The drain pipe arrives under the centre of the tub. Plan access to the trap for future maintenance, and check the position of the drain before laying the floor.

### Floor and room

A filled bathtub with a person in it is heavy. On an upper floor or a timber floor, have the floor's capacity checked. Measure the room and the access path: the tub must go through the doors and the stairs to reach the bathroom.

### Why acrylic?

Sanitary acrylic is warm to the touch, lighter than stone resin or cast iron, and easy to clean. Seamless construction leaves no joints where dirt can collect. Clean with a soft cloth and a mild product; avoid abrasive powders and solvents. Light surface scratches on acrylic can usually be polished out.

### Two backrests

Both Torino models have two backrests. You can bathe facing either end, or share the bath; the central waste does not get in the way.
