An open walk-in shower and a closed shower with a sliding door both work well. The right choice depends on the space, the floor and how much you want to contain splashes.

## Side by side

| | Aire Walk-In | Corsa sliding door |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Type | Fixed glass screen, open entrance | Sliding panel + fixed panel |
| Widths | 80, 100, 120 cm | 100, 120, 140, 160 cm |
| Height | 200 cm | 200 cm |
| Glass | 6 mm clear tempered | 6 mm clear tempered |
| Adjustment | ±20 mm each side | ±20 mm each side |
| Floor | Level-access tiled floor or low tray | Shower tray or level-access floor |
| Corner layout | Against a side wall | With the 80 cm side panel |

## Choose a walk-in screen if…

- you want an open, bright shower without a door to handle
- you are planning a level-access tiled floor with a drain
- the shower area is long enough for the water to stay inside: place the shower head on the wall behind the glass

## Choose a sliding door if…

- the shower is in an alcove between two walls
- you want a closed shower that keeps the heat in and contains splashes
- you are installing on an existing shower tray

## Space and comfort

Neither option needs free space in front of the shower: the walk-in has no door, and the Corsa door slides along its own axis. For a very small square shower, the [Corsa 80 × 80](https://www.nuevabano.com/en/collections/shower-doors-and-enclosures/corsa-corner-enclosure/) enclosure is the third option.

## Cleaning

In both cases, wipe the glass with a squeegee after each shower. The walk-in has only one panel to clean; the sliding door has a bottom track to keep free of soap residue.

## Frequently asked questions

**Does a walk-in shower splash more than a closed shower?**

It can if it is badly planned. With the shower head on the wall behind the glass, a long enough screen and a floor sloping to the drain, water stays inside.

**Which option for a shower between two walls?**

A Corsa sliding door, in the width of the opening (100 to 160 cm).

**Which option for a level-access floor?**

Both work on a level-access tiled floor. The walk-in screen is the most natural choice, as it keeps the entrance open.
